High-field free-sample magnetisation results at 4.2 K on tetragonal ferrimagnetic DyCo10V2 and TbFe9Mo3 samples show a marked difference between the zero-field-cooled (ZFC) and field-cooled (FC) magnetisation isotherms, which is still present after a field as high as 38 T has been applied. The results indicate that the ZFC samples remain multidomain throughout the experiment, with a compensated magnetisation perpendicular to the magnetic-field direction, although, for instance for DyCo10V2, the coercive field ( [001] direction) at 4.2 K is only about 2 T.
