摘要

The stabilization of the third member (n identical with 3) of HgSr sub(2)Ca sub(n-1)Cu sub(n)O sub(y) family by Bi substitution is the subject of this report. Bulk samples containing (Hg,Bi)Sr sub(2)Ca sub(2)Cu sub(3)O sub(y) as a main phase (>90%) were synthesized using a high-pressure high-temperature technique under 6 GPa and 1000 degree C. They were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), electron diffraction (ED), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and DC susceptibility measurements. The as-prepared samples exhibit T sub(c) with onset of about 107 K. Heat treatments in Ar atmosphere increased the T sub(c) onset up to 112 K.
