摘要

Two-wavelength laser-excited fluorescence and laser-enhanced ionization are investigated for use with spatial profiling applications. A recently introduced absorption technique (which involves measuring the differential absorption of a probe beam with a pump beam on and off) is also investigated for use with spatial profiling applications and determination of absolute number densities. A high-repetition-rate, high-average-power copper vapor laser with a computer-controlled data acquisition and beam scanning system was used for speed, repeatability, and ease of data collection.
