摘要

Resistance to infection with several schistosome species has been induced by prior exposure to radiation-attenuated cercariae or schistosomula of the same species. Although resistance has been induced in a variety of mammalian host species, almost all studies on the mechanisms of resistance have been carried out in laboratory mice with Schistosoma mansoni. For this reason, this discussion will be confined to studies carried out in mice with S. mansoni.
