摘要

The far-zone electric field of a wire dipole antenna is numerically determined by the method of moments. Additional numerical methods that are used and compared are finite differences for computing a first derivative and L-V decomposition and the conjugate gradient method for solving lineae equations. These additional methods are compared in terms of their agreement with previously accepted results and their computer execution time and memory requirements. Keywords include: Conjugate gradient; Dipole antenna; Electromagnetic theory; Method of moments; and Numerical analysis.
