摘要

This Program of Multiple Projects concerns oxygen tolerance of organ system functions in man. It is the fifth in the series of Institute national collaborative Predictive Studies (PS V), concerned with defining effects upon specific human organs or systems of extremes of respiratory and pressure environments, with relevance to medicine and human function in unusual circumstances. The Program involves multiple investigators who concurrently conduct different but correlated component projects, in a completely integrated program within each single experiment exposure. It follows over ten years of prior animal and human studies. Keywords: Oxygen, Oxygen poisoning, Diving, Hyperbaric oxygenation; Hypoxia; CNS; Pulmonary; Cardiac; Vision. (kt)
