摘要

Quantitative cytochemical techniques such as microspectrophotometry in visible and ultraviolet light, as well as microfluorometry, have been used to determine the distribution of DNA and basic protein in a population of bull spermatozoal heads. With all methods used, significantly wider-distributions of values were found in populations of individual cells than could be accounted for by methodologic errors. These data constitute the first part of a study supporting a hypothesis of a characteristic distribution of redundant chromosomal DNA. (Author)
