摘要

The mentioned deficiences can be reduced to a minimum, if the plastic is used in the form of thin layers, applied on the metal surface. And so, for example, in bearings having a thin coating (0.1 - 0.5 mm) from polyamides, by changing the dimensions (as result of hygroscopicity and thermal expansion), can be practically disregarded. This does away with the necessity of a greater adjusting gap between the shaft and bearing.nBelow are given results of investigating the effect of additions to polycaprolactam on the antifriction properties and adhesion to metal.
