The primary concern of the study was reclassification, but since methods employed for reclassification might well relate to methods employed for new acquisitions, part of the investigation concerned the possible utilization of EDP procedures in Technical Services. The possibility of changing from a card catalog to a book catalog was also investigated.nThe specific objectives were to determine the feasibilityn1.tutilizing EDP equipment for any of the clerical procedures necessitated by reclassification,n2.tutilizing any EDP procedures developed for reclassification in the subsequent handling of new acquisitions, and converting from a card catalog to a book catalog.
