摘要

These guidelines are the result of the research performed under the umbrella of MNE-6 objective 4.3 'Cross-Cultural Awareness'. This work has been focused on exploring best practices when it comes to engaging with local authorities and ordinary people in order to ease the activities conducted by the military Staff most populace-oriented branches (PSYOPS, CIMIC, INFO OPS.) to better achieve mission success. This guidebook aims at helping decision- makers and militaries to take into consideration the key cultural features and elements when interacting with different cultures during military tasks so as to not trigger undesired effects or produce collateral damage that can seriously hinder the overall pursued end-state.
