sThis paper addresses theoretical issues related to a class of nonlinear parabolic systems used in toxicokinetic modeling. We establish the well-posedness of these systems in a weak or variatioaal setting by proving the existance of a unique solution which depends continuously oa the data. These results are then applied specifically to tbe model equatious for a physiologically based pharmacokinetic model for tbe systemic transport of trichloroethylene (TCE), which is the motivating example for our efforts here.
