Questions regarding the safety and policy aspects of the proposed DWK waste disposal center in Gorleben are discussed. The position of the Niedersachsen provincial government is that the center should not be built; instead, the salt formations should be tested and interim fuel storage facilities provided. The response of the Federal government to the Niedersachsen statement is also listed. (ERA citation 05:008174)
