摘要

Expressions for the total and differential cross sections of multiphoton processes occuring during the collision of electrons with a hydrogen atom in the presence of a strong electromagnetic field have been obtained. Numerical calculations are presented in the high energy limit and for the excitation of the 2S state from the ground states. The dependence of the total cross section in the field intensity and frequency, incoming electron energy, and number of absorbed photons are discussed. (Atomindex citation 09:350580)
