摘要

A structural evaluation was performed to assess the presence of a localized elevated temperature condition in the outlet coolant thermometer penetration region of the Fort St. Vrain PCRV. Thermal analyses, performed in conjunction with the review of data collected during the Hot Flow Test and rise to 2% power, show that concrete adjacent to the penetration-liner junction is expected to attain a high temperature of 346°F at full power operation;however, the extent of the elevated temperatures (>250°F) is limited to a small portion of the concrete. The evaluation covered the PCRV, including the steel liners, penetrations, and internal attachments.
