摘要

The objectives of the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL) Performance Measures and Metrics project are to identify performance metrics to be implemented in fiscal year 1997; and design and implement several critical applications to support the overall performance measures associated with EMSL as a collaborative user facility. In particular, this software requirements specification (RS) specifically addresses the system software and interface requirements to create an environment that will enable EMSL to measure collaborations and the results of collaborative interactions by the tangible products produced; assess performance of operational and facilities processes into a well-integrated environment that now includes the EMSL Operations System (EMSLOps); and integrate with PNNL business and management systems. This document additionally addresses the future vision of handling visitor information within the EMSLOps environment, combined with the definition of additional enhancements for the Integrated Collaborative Environment (ICE), and future phases of the project for the User Facility and Laboratory Equipment measures and metrics.
