摘要

In the present study an uncoupled approach is used to calculate the flow field ina three-dimensional distensible model of the carotid artery bifurcation. First the pressure distribution is calculated using a one-dimensional model for wave propagation. Next the wall motion due to this pressure distribution is calculated. Finally the fluid motion equations are solved with the wall motion prescribed as boundary condition.
