摘要

A SAS based information management system was developed for the retrieval of hydrologic and climatic data. The new system will replace an existing system that has grown obsolete. The objective of the project is to create a hydrologic data management system that is easy to use, maintain, and modify, and at the same time simulates the actions of the existing system as much as possible, using the same simple command language, which can be learned by all users, regardless of their programming skills. Maintenance programmers will be able to easily write new input formats, as well as make enhancements to the system for new applications. A final objective is to conduct workshops for users on how to make use of the system to retrieve hydrologic data.
