摘要

The materials included in the Geriatric Curriculum Resource Package (CRP) were written and selected to assist Physician Assistant faculty members to develop and implement geriatric curricula. The contract for the GEPAF project specified that the topics covered in the CRP should include, but not be limited to the following: 1. Philosophy of caring for the elderly; 2. Major influences on, and the needs of, the elderly; 3. Major measures of care for the well and the ill elderly; 4. Description of pertinent learning experiences for physician assistant students; 5. Competencies and attributes that should be possessed by the physician assistant providing care for well and for ill elderly people; 6. Annotated references appropriate to the physician assistant's role in care of the elderly.
