摘要

The benthos of southern Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana was studied from July 1976 to July 1978, with seasonal sampling of seven off-shore stations and of three stations in the New Orleans Marina complex. The sampling followed a gradient of increasing salinity stratification and decreasing bottom dissolved-oxygen values. Faunal differences between the stations were examined, using indices of diversity, biological dominance, pollution, and station homogeneity.
