摘要

Significant results of a walking survey to locate environmental deficiencies of a Mission Model Neighborhood are reported. The survey was conducted by a group of Stanford University students. The survey form was developed jointly by the staff of the Stanford Community Development Study (CDS) and members of the Mission Coalition Organization (MCO). Main objectives of the survey were to provide an exterior evaluation of housing in the mission, and to plot certain public and private environmental deficiencies. Problems noted included damaged or missing street signs, abandoned cars, littered streets, overflowing public trash cans, and residential buildings for sale. Each deficiency is described and their locations indicated on various maps of the Mission Model Neighborhood.
