摘要

Compound NSC 132315, Glycopyranose, 2-deoxy-2-formamide-,monohydrate,alpha-D-failed to prevent the diabetogenic action of Streptozotocin (NSC 85998) in male mice when administered I.V. in doses of 350and 700mg/kg one hour before an intravenous dose of 200mg/kg of Streptozotocin. Animals so treated showed the classical symptoms of diabetes consisting of hyperglycemia, glycosuria, polydipsia and polyuria;these same symptoms of course were noted in animals treated I.V. with 200mg/kg of Streptozotocin alone. The toxicity of NSC 132315following I.V. administration to male mice in a range finding test,is greater than 700mg/kg. When administered I.V. in doses varying from 34-700mg/kg,NSC 132315did not produce any toxic symptoms in the animals nor any signs of diabetes. (Author)
