The action of the organophosphorus compounds, diisopropyl phosphorofluoridate (DFP) and isopropyl methylphosphonofluoridate (GB), at neuromuscular junctions, has been attributed in part by other investigators to a direct enhancement of the response to acetylcholine over and above that end to the anticholinesterase properties of these compounds.
