摘要

A numerical method of solving approximately differential and integro-differential equations, and coupled systems of such equations, which arise in scattering problems, is described mainly by means of examples. The method consists essentially of replacing the differential or integro-differential equations by integral equations, which imply satisfaction of the boundary conditions; then the integrals in the integral equations are approximated by some numerical approximation.
