摘要

The precipitation of non-metallic inclusions during the cooling and solidification of steel were first reviewed. Three different kinds of models, which were used to simulate the inclusion formation and precipitation during the solidification, were described in detail. Some useful data corresponding to these phenomena were collected. Then the effect of cooling rate on the precipitation of oxide inclusions was discussed. Finally, the mechanisms and kinetics of further transformation of inclusions, which may occur during solidification or heat treatment prior to hot rolling, e.g. reactions between oxides and sulphides, as well as recrystallization of oxides, were reviewed.
