There has been considerable discussion about the role of ethnicity in modern intrastate conflicts but relatively little analysis about how peace-building efforts and specific approaches can bridge ethnic gaps. This Special Study examines how international donors are trying to help reconcile ethnic conflicts in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatiatwo countries that suffered vicious ethnic conflict after declaring their independence from Yugoslavia earlier this decade.
