摘要

The study was performed to evaluate the accuracy of magnetocardiographic mappingin noninvasive localization of the ventricular preexcitation site in patients suffering from Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome. Twelve WPW-patients were studied, in whom the preexcitation caused serious supraventricular arrhythmias refractory to drug therapy. Magnetocardiographic mapping was performed in all cases in a magnetically shielded room, and noninvasive localization was computed from preprocessed magnetic signals using a current dipole in a realistically shaped homogeneous digital torso. All patients underwent intraoperative mapping and subsequent dissection of the accessory atrioventricular connection. The intraoperative localization results were marked on magnetic resonance images of the heart, where also magnetocardiographic localization results were superimposed to allow the comparison. The average of the three-dimensional differences between
