摘要

The disposal of mine tailings is identified as onesource of an environmental impact finally resultingin a typically degraded ecosystem. It can easilycause air and water pollution and is a source ofman-made mudslides with high-potential socioeconomic-energyimpacts. Pollution control andecological restoration technologies of mine tailingshave become the burning question in China. In thispaper restoration technologies for mine tailings inChina are reviewed, by pointing out problems anddeficiencies of physical remediation, chemicalremediation, bioremediation andphytoremediation. On this basis, the existingproblem and the future development of ecologicalrestoration technology for mine tailings in Chinawere discussed and some suggestions proposed.The utilization of comprehensive restorationtechnologies is a trend for future development.Management systems should be improved in orderto promote the sustainable development of miningin China.
