This framework provides an overview of selfmanagementudsupport and offers recommendationsudfor implementation of self-management support inudIreland, along with a plan for implementation andudpriorities for early implementation.udThe development of this framework was guided by audnational advisory group and was informed by Irish andudinternational evidence, including a Health TechnologyudAssessment conducted by the Health Information andudQuality Authority (HIQA). An extensive consultationudwas carried out which included healthcareudprofessionals within and outside the HSE; patientsudand carers; representatives from the voluntary andudcommunity sector; and the department of health.
