The method comprises:a step of detecting (E10) a composition of a first message (M3) by a first user in a message composition window (5) displayed on a screen (2) of a terminal (1) of the first user;a step of detecting (E20), during this composition, an arrival of a second message (M4) for the first user coming from at least a second user;in response to this detection, an interruption step (E30) of the composition of the first message, an input (E50) of the first user in the composition window following this interruption resulting in the creation of a third message (M5) ; anda display step (E40) on the screen of the terminal of the first message and the second message, each message being displayed outside the composition window (5) and in association with at least one predetermined action (ACT3, ACT4 ) that can be validated by the first user.
