A food transportation means 1 is disclosed, comprising an outer body 2 having an inner surface 21, and an inner body 3 having an outer surface 31. The inner and outer surfaces are adapted to cooperate for relative movement, possibly so that during transportation any food containing vessel in the transportation means is retained in a substantially horizontal plane. The inner and outer bodies may comprise hemispherical members which slide past each other. The inner body may be provided with retaining means (34 figure 2A) for supporting a food containing vessel such as a bowl or plate. The inner body may have a heating element for heating the food vessel. Also disclosed is a housing 5 comprising at least one said food transportation means, a box configured to be mounted on a vehicle, such as a back box for a moped or motorbike (figure 7), and configured to retain at least one housing, and a method of transporting food.
