Hybrid process for forming a material blank in which: - a material blank (2) to be deformed is placed between a die (6) and a blank holder (4), - it is deformed by stamping using d '' at least one punch (26, 32) the material blank (2) to obtain a pre-stamped material blank (2), - a cavity is filled with liquid in which there are, on the one hand, the at least a punch (26, 32) having pre-stamped the blank of material (2) and, on the other hand, at least one pair of electrodes (36), - the blank of pre-material (2) is brought into contact stamped with the liquid from the cavity, and - at least one electric discharge is generated between at least one pair of electrodes (36) so as to deform the material blank (2) against the die (6)
