The present invention relates to a dark current sensor scale and offset error compensation algorithm generated in a modular multilevel converter system. When controlling a modular multilevel converter system, the current value or voltage value is measured using a sensor. At this time, a scale error and an offset error of the upper arm and lower arm currents are generated by the sensor, and the imbalance of the upper and lower submodule voltages is generated by these errors, making the system unstable. To solve this, implement a PI controller that extracts the scale constants of the measured upper and lower arm currents and controls them to zero, that is, obtains compensation constants to make the upper and lower scale constants equal.
