The present invention relates to a composition for feeding livestock for improving meat quality and a method for preparing the same, using an extract of Schisandra chinensis as an active ingredient. The composition for feeding livestock of the present invention uses an extract of Schisandra chinensis including stems as an active ingredient, and can be added to livestock feed or drinking water or separately fed to increase the content of protein, amino acids, and unsaturated fatty acids in meat.
