The present invention relates to an object image recognition DCNN-based CCTV video analysis device and a method for driving the device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the object image recognition DCNN-based CCTV video analysis device performs video analysis by means of a DCNN providing a recognition result on an object in a video. The object image recognition DCNN-based CCTV video analysis device includes: a communication interface unit receiving first video frame videos provided by a video provision device; and a control unit performing motion-based detection and tracking of moving objects in second video frame videos converted to a format for video processing load reduction by using the received first video frame videos, extracting each of images of objects under tracking, distinguishing tracking objects by using a recognition result obtained by DCNN input of the extracted object image, confirming a user non-interest object out of a designated reference in the distinguished tracking objects, and detecting an event based on the tracking information and designation rule of a user interest object obtained by removal of the confirmed user non-interest object from tracking object targets.
