The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for automatically recommending standard terms for big data standardization and a method thereof. The apparatus for automatically recommending standard terms for big data standardization can comprise: a database containing standardized term data; a standard dictionary part including and managing a standard word dictionary, a standard term dictionary, and a standard domain dictionary; a word substitution part separating morphemes of a first term inputted to perform standardization, and substituting a plurality of words included in the first term with a standard word included in the standard word dictionary; a term recommendation part combining a plurality of words included in the substituted first term and recommending the standard term included in the standard term dictionary as the first standard term of the first term; and a term determination part selecting one of the standard term recommended in the term recommendation part as the first standard term of the first term and determining a standard domain included in the standard domain dictionary as a first standard domain of the first term.
