The invention relates to a method for predicting the risk of recurrence after radiation treatment of a tumour comprising the following steps: - a first step of obtaining at least one first 3D image of the tumour area capable of allowing the viewing of the tumour; - a second step of obtaining at least one second 3D image of the tumour area capable of allowing the viewing of a treated area; - a step of processing the first and second 3D images obtained so as to determine an exposure distance for all or part of first voxels inside the tumour; - a step of comparing exposure distances determined with a predefined distance threshold, so as to determine whether at least one exposure distance is less than or equal to said predefined threshold. The invention also relates to a system for predicting the risk of recurrence.
