An education administration system used for graduate students to select mentors, comprising a server terminal (1) and multiple clients (2), wherein the server terminal (1) is connected to a LAN network or an Internet network by means of a network cable, and the clients (2) are PC terminals or mobile terminals; the clients (2) comprise an information module (22), a selection module (21) and a mailbox module (23), the selection module (21) being connected to the information module (22) and the mailbox module (23) respectively; the clients (2) further comprise an instant messaging module (24) used for communication, the instant messaging module (24) being connected to the selection module (21); the communication method of the instant messaging module (24) comprises: a. a user sending an asynchronous JavaScript and XML request; b. the server acquiring data from a BlockingQueue after receiving the request; c. blocking until data is present in the BlockingQueue; d. immediately re-sending the asynchronous JavaScript and XML request after the client receives a response. In the educational administration system, a graduate student may select two mentors, and preferably select a favorite mentor; the instant messaging function facilitates communication and understanding and provides teaching assistance for the mentor in a later stage, being convenient and fast.
