software error reporting system and performance deficiency a medical imaging system comprising a medical image processing module (20) and a user comment control module (30) is disclosed. the medical image processing module (20) includes at least one image display module (22) and a user comment initiation module (26). the user comment control module (30) includes at least: a screen capture module or hook (32) configured to capture an image of the operating screen of the medical image processing module near the time of receiving a signal from the user comment initiation module; screen image editing module or hook (36) configured to allow the user to edit the captured screen image to generate a screen image edited by the user; and a comment review / editing module or hook (40) configured to automatically generate and allow the user to edit and transmit an e-mail message with the screen image edited by the user embedded or attached.
