The present invention deals with a method for the design and optimization of optical communication systems without repetition, said systems belonging to the field of telecommunications engineering, more specifically in the area of optical communications, which do not have electrically energized elements along the communication line. Such systems are commonly based on hybrid amplification techniques in the most diverse possible topologies, in order to provide optical gain to the set of channels transmitted by the proposed system, making use of pumping units positioned at the ends of the analyzed link, optically energizing the units passive devices capable of providing concentrated or distributed gain to signals propagated by the same optical fiber. In such a way that networks based on hybrid amplification technologies allow the interconnection of geographically isolated locations, or of difficult access to the global telecommunications network with high transmission rates and low latency.
