PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for efficiently coping with a memory error by linking a memory switching function by hardware and a page offline function by a kernel. A memory failure handling system includes a memory controller that notifies a firmware or software of the occurrence of a memory error, and firmware that, when notified of the occurrence of a memory error, instructs switching from a memory in which an error has occurred to a spare memory. When the notification of the memory error occurrence is received, software for instructing invalidation of the page corresponding to the memory where the error occurred is included. The firmware sets a memory error occurrence notification destination in the memory controller. [Selection diagram] Fig. 3
