PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate an operation of converting a Latin character into a character code defined by a character encoding method of the Unicode standard. SOLUTION: A Latin character conversion device associates a plurality of character keys to which Latin characters are assigned among a plurality of keys possessed by a keyboard with any of a plurality of character codes defined by a character encoding method of the Unicode standard. A related part 55, a character related part 59 that associates a character code with a related code that is another character code, and a character key that is instructed when one of a plurality of character keys is instructed by the user. The code conversion unit 55 that determines the associated character code as a conversion candidate, and the conversion candidate according to the user instructing the character key that also serves as the conversion key among the plurality of character keys in the state where the conversion candidate is determined.
