To provide a GVHD model animal, a production method thereof, and a screening method of a GVHD therapeutic agent using the animal.SOLUTION: There are provided: a GVHD model animal which is subjected to allograft or heterologous transplantation of grafts which are collected from transgenic non-human animals which excessively express a STAP1 gene; and a screening method of a therapeutic agent for GVHD for administering a test substance to the GVHD model animal, and when a symptom of the GVHD is improved or eliminated, selecting the test substance as a candidate substance of the GVHD therapeutic agent, in which the GVHD model animal is a non-human animal which is subjected to allograft or heterologous transplantation of grafts collected from transgenic non-human animals which excessively express one or more kinds of genes selected from a STAP1 gene and a STAP 2 gene.SELECTED DRAWING: None
