Artificial intelligence and machine learning are used to model and manage an organisation’s enterprise architecture, such as business and technology strategy planning during a business transformation programme. A business motivation model provides a desired outcome for the organisation. A governance model provides a governance structure and processes to manage transformation programme decisions. Software modules also provide the organisation’s current and target operating models, and identify and prioritise business benefits. A road map model provides activities to implement the target operating model. A design module provides process steps to address management concerns. A blueprint module provides blueprints to implement the enterprise architecture. A complementary framework further provides: a design process for modelling and managing the target operating model; perspectives to address concerns related to the enterprise architecture; a context framework to address organisational and business requirements; and a content framework including models and blueprints necessary to capture required organisational information. The whole design process is automatically updated if any one element is changed. The system may ensure the enterprise architecture aligns with the business’ strategy, achieves the business’ vision and realises planned business benefits, and may provide transparency and manage stakeholders’ expectations regarding the transformation programme.
