The invention relates to a method for producing an endless band-shaped Rovinggeleges for the production of a high-temperature-stable component made of a ceramic fiber composite material. The method is based on winding a roving onto a bobbin so as to obtain a multilayer tubular fabric, the roving comprising a multifilamentary fiber bundle infiltrated with a wet slurry. The obtained continuous tape-shaped roving sheet can be used, for example, for producing a green compact for a high-temperature-stable ceramic fiber composite member.
