The present invention relates to a novel alkaline polygalacturonase PN32 derived from Bacillus paralicheniformis CBS32, which exhibits a powerful ramie fiber refining function, and can be efficiently used in industrial fields for refining and retting fibers, improving the paper quality, extracting juice and oil, fermenting coffee and tea, and treating pectic acid waste, to a strain for producing the same and a method for purifying the polygalacturonase. The novel strong alkaline polygalacturonase PN32 derived from Bacillus paralicheniformis CBS32 has been found to have a powerful ramie fiber refining function, such that an enzyme from alkaline properties thereof can be efficiently used in industrial fields for refining and retting fibers, improving the paper quality, extracting juice and oil, fermenting coffee and tea, and treating pectic acid waste.
