The present invention relates to a composition for controlling bacterial ulcer disease containing purple coneflower extract or a fraction thereof as an active ingredient, and uses thereof and, more specifically, to purple coneflower extract and a fraction thereof which are derived from natural products to be harmless to a human body and prevent environmental pollution and can be useful in the development of organic materials and the production of environmentally friendly crops by representing excellent prevention effects against kiwifruit ulcer and tomato ulcer generated by Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae and Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. Michiganensis.
