The present invention relates to a system to recognize a work type of construction equipment, capable of improving work efficiency without operator inconvenience and stoppage of work, and a construct machinery control method using the same. According to the present invention, the system to recognize work type of construction equipment comprises: a motion data collection unit to collect big data about motion of a working apparatus or a rotating body based on RCV pressure signal information provided by operating a lever; a work type recognition algorithm implementing unit to implement a work type recognition algorithm based on correlation analysis information, which is acquired by analyzing big data information provided from the motion data collection unit and a correlation about operation amount information provided by operating the lever; and a means to determine a work type in accordance with operation of the lever based on the implemented work type recognition algorithm and to check an obstacle accessing within an obstacle recognition range corresponding to the determined work type.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
