Provided is a low noise, aesthetic and environmentally friendly door lock, comprising front and rear blocking covers (1), and front and rear handles (3). The door lock also comprises a latch head (4), a ball barrel (5), a turret (6) which are mounted on corresponding handles (3), a handle return spring (7) connected to the turret (6) and a square bar (8) connecting the two handles (3). A force reducing device (2) capable of reducing resilience is provided between the front and rear blocking covers (1). The force reducing device (2) comprises a hydraulic cylinder (21), a piston rod (22) disposed on the hydraulic cylinder (21), and a connecting member (23) connecting the piston rod (22) and the turret (6). The resilience of the handle return spring (7) is transmitted to the piston rod (22) through the turret (6) and the connecting member (23), and the speed of returning the handle return spring (7) connected with the turret (6) is reduced by the hydraulic resistance in the hydraulic cylinder (21), so that the strong resilience of the handle return spring (7) is slowed down.
