The Geographic Information System (GIS) assisted hazard mapping that was integrated in spatial analysts' tool was used in the study to develop a methodology for flood hazard mapping of seven (7) river watersheds in Central Luzon and Pangasinan as a support tool in identifying flood susceptible areas within each watershed. The thematic maps of watersheds elevation, slope, distance to river and its land cover were used to generate the flood hazard maps within each watershed. The flood hazard maps were created by weighing and ranking technique in which each factor was weighted according to their relative importance to each other and to their expected importance in causing floods using analytical hierarchal process or AHP. Results revealed that 11.56 percent of Bucao River Watershed (BRW), 17.20 percent of Santo Tomas River Watershed (STRW), 37.07 percent of Patalan River Watershed (PRW), 78.88 percent of Dagupan River Watershed (DRW), 52.87 percent of Alaminos River Watershed (ARW), 12.15 percent of Morong River Watershed (MRW) and 18.77 percent of Balanga River Watershed (BaRW) were susceptible to flooding.
