PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of accurately estimating a burning position of a particulate reduction material in blowing in a blast furnace operation for blowing the particulate reduction material and a blow tuyere.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for estimating a burning position of a particulate reduction material for measuring particle rate of the particulate reduction material blown through a lance 3 at 2 locations at least, along a blow direction of the particulate reduction material (a, b, c) and estimating the burning position of the particulate reduction material based on the measured particle rate in a blast furnace operation for blowing the particulate reduction material into a blast furnace through the lance 2 of which a tip is located in a passage of a tuyere body 1 of the blow tuyere or a passage of a blow pipe 2 connecting to the tuyere body 1. There is provided the method for estimating the burning position of the particulate reduction material of the blow tuyere of the blast furnace where the particulate reduction material is fine coal, waste plastic, heavy oil, light oil, rape seed oil or tar.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
